Information You Submit
When you use a search box, the name, phone number, or address entered is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. We do not save a copy of that search on our servers. A direct message to us contains only what you decide to share, and we use it to answer the request.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this material in the aggregate to maintain the service and see which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those features apply.
How We Use Limited Data
The uses are operational: running the service, diagnosing errors, measuring visits, responding to messages, and improving content. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual profiles of people who use the resource.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to City of Selma pages, Fresno County offices, California agencies, court systems, libraries, and outside search tools. Their own privacy terms control information submitted after leaving this domain. The same rule applies to sponsored results delivered by a third-party provider.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Data Security and Retention
An encrypted connection delivers the site, and logs are retained only as long as the stated purposes require. Since no user accounts exist here, we do not hold an account password or personal profile for visitors.
Visitors Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have submitted such information so it can be deleted.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on the circumstances, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information held by a covered business. Because we retain so little, a request will usually involve a check of the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Selma, Fresno County, California agencies, or courts remain outside our control, so a correction or removal request for those records must go to the responsible custodian.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted here when our practices change. Continued use after an update means that the revised terms are accepted.
